We’re excited to highlight the efforts of Ann Lovallo from our Client Success team! Ann took the time to tell us a bit about herself and her role here at Givinga:
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I grew up in Connecticut, but am living in Boston now. I enjoy reading and yoga, and I have a dog—a pandemic puppy like everyone else. Also, my family’s all in Vermont, so I really like being outside, especially hiking and skiing. Something I’m excited about is that I’m trying to hike all of the New Hampshire 4,000 footers, and have already done about 16 or 17 of them! I’m taking my time, but it is something I’m actively working towards.
What does your day to day look like at Givinga?
I work in the day to day operations of Givinga. It is a fun mix of things. If I had to summarize, I’d say I focus on reporting, some HR, some client success work, and then billing and payments. Overall, it’s a lot of odds and ends, and keeping note of everything. The day to day is always different, which is what I like about working for a company like Givinga.
What is your favorite part about working for Givinga?
I like working for Givinga because our product is really interesting. We’re a tech company, but the ultimate goal is for good—to have that mix of being a business that’s doing good is a cool idea. Day to day, I like the fast paced nature of it and working with the team. I find learning this kind of stuff, picking up new things and exploring all the different platforms we use, interesting so it’s been really fun.
What are some charities and causes that are most important to you?
I did a lot of work, when living in Vermont, at the White River Junction VA Hospital, in the recreational therapy department, so I think that is really cool. The Special Olympics is also a cause that’s very important to me. And in college, I volunteered on the Relay for Life team for the American Cancer Society, and was on that board throughout my time there, organizing donations.
